Laredo Morning Times Softball Standouts

Being one of the three Standout Softball Players of the Week means a job well done. 

It doesn’t matter what school you go to or what position you play. If you perform well, you will be in contention for this weekly honor. Here’s three players who stood out among the rest to help their team play well during this past week of games. 

Alexander's Carmen Perez

It was a big 18-12 rivalry win over United this past Friday for the Lady Bulldogs and Perez came up clutch. In the bottom of the first, Perez hit a single that drove in two RBIs. Later in the game she would come up again getting another hit that drove in two more RBIs.

Alexander's Kendra Mancha 

In that same rivalry game, Mancha led the Lady Bulldogs with three hits on the night as well as two RBIs. For this Lady Bulldogs team, when multiple girls contribute behind the plate, they are hard to beat. Although this has been a different season, Alexander continues to show they have a talented roster in multiple areas.
