Alexander FFA BBQ Club Wins Big

Please congratulate the Bad to Bone Smokers FFA BBQ team on a great turnout at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Junior Pit Master Competition. These students started their day at 4 AM working in 32-degree temperatures and finished at 7:30 PM.

The team placed 7th overall against 45 teams. The team was made up of 4 members: Enrique Garcia, Kleber Hernandez, Fatima Martinez, and Leslie Gonzalez. Individually, Kleber Hernandez received 9th place on chicken, Enrique Garcia received 11th place on Ribs, and 4th place on Brisket. This event has only three categories requiring multiple steps to prepare each protein. Fatima and Leslie did an excellent job with the injections, cutting, and other tasks.
