The Alexander Bulldogs stayed undefeated in District 30-6A competition as they swept the United South Panthers with an 8-0 win on Friday.
The win was highlighted by the performances of Alexander's Brytton Clements and JC Zepeda.
Clements went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs as he had a double in the fourth inning, which turned into an inside the park home run as he scored on errors. As for Zepeda, he went 2 for 3, too, with two RBIs and a run as he hit a solo home run in the fourth.
Starting pitcher Julio Hernandez was solid as he threw six innings, allowing a mere two hits and striking out two.
United South's Roman Martinez was credited with the loss as he tossed four innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out one.
